PRODUCT FEATURES
-
ZeroGap™ Technology
Redesigned to be more user-friendly, our patented ZeroGap™ technology allows you to slide the seat forward and backward to eliminate the gap between the seat and back pad in all positions - especially nice when benching flat. -
RATCHETING SEAT
The BlackWing™ uses a patent-pending, ratcheting system to easily adjust the angle, as well as securely lock it in with a pin. This design allows you to quickly change the angle of the seat by simply lifting on the seat pad - no need to pull the pin. Use the pop-pin to adjust the angle back down. -
CLOSED LADDER
The closed ladder design keeps the ladder securely in place when adjusting the bench and when storing it vertically. -
VERTICAL STORAGE
The BlackWing™ was designed for compact vertical storage, only taking up 3.1SQFT of space, and it includes an integrated, metal storage stand with a protective, plastic liner. -
LEG ROLLER COMPATIBILITY
A built-in receiving post on the BlackWing's™ back frame can be used with the optional Leg Roller Attachment to create additional exercise options for core work and decline presses, as well as Nordic hamstring curls. (Attachment sold separately.) -
HEAVY-DUTY FID BENCH
The BlackWing™ is a stable, heavy-duty, flat-incline-decline bench with 12 different back pad angles and six seat pad angles. This provides 72 combinations to hit the perfect rep. And with the capacity to handle 1,000lbs, it's ready for your next PR.

FAQS
-
Why would I choose the BlackWing™ Adjustable Bench?
We combined the best features from our top benches to create the ultimate, high-quality, adjustable, flat-incline-decline bench. This heavy-duty bench includes our redesigned, patented ZeroGap™ technology that is more user-friendly. The closed ladder system along the back pad allows for 12 easy and secure angle adjustments, ranging from -8 to 85 degrees. This bench is also compatible with our Leg Roller Attachment to create additional exercise options. Secure your legs on the roller for steeper presses and core training, or insert it upside down to do Nordic hamstring curls. When you are finished with your workout, the space-saving design allows the bench to be stored in an upright position.
-
How does the seat adjust?
This patent-pending seat design is new to the US, and it makes it easier to adjust your seat angle – and simultaneously more secure. Simply lift the seat pad to adjust it upward; the pin is angled in a way that you don’t have to pull the pin out to raise it (think: ratcheting). To move the seat down, pull out the pop-pin and lower. Learn more about the different types of bench adjustment systems here: “What’s the Difference Between a Ladder-Style and Pop-Pin Bench?”
-
How is the new ZeroGap™ technology different than the original one?
Originally, the adjustment piece for the ZeroGap™ technology was directly beneath the pad. The new design puts the pin on the side of the pad, so it’s easier to adjust. The BlackWing™ also includes an updated, metal spring pin for a more premium feel.
-
How do I properly adjust the BlackWing's™ ZeroGap™ feature?
For adjustments, we suggest sliding the seat pad all the way out to the max gap, adjusting the back pad to the desired angle, and then adjusting the seat pad back to the proper placement, so there is no gap.
-
Is the BlackWing™ Adjustable Bench up to IPF specifications?
Whether you choose the standard or wide pad, this bench falls within International Powerlifting Federation height and length requirements. However, if you pick the wide pad, that does not adhere to IPF width. According to the IPF Rule Book a bench must fall within the following specifications:
Length: Minimum of 1.22m (~48”)
Width: Between 29-32cm (~11.4-12.6”)
Height: Between 42-45cm (~16.5-17.7”) -
Can I store the BlackWing™ Adjustable Bench vertically?
Yes, the BlackWing™ was designed for vertical storage, so you can save space (only 3.1SQFT). It features an integrated, metal storage stand with a protective, plastic liner.
-
Should I purchase the BlackWing™ Adjustable Bench with the standard or wide pad?
The BlackWing™ has two pad options: standard or wide. They both feature our new CleanGrip material.
The standard pad falls within all IPF specifications, including width. Choose this if you want a competition-compatible bench pad. In addition, smaller lifters may find a wide pad limits their full range of motion when benching, so they might benefit from a standard pad.
A wide pad is ideal for lifters with broader shoulders and people who want more shoulder support or have shoulder restrictions. A wide pad can also simulate a floor press, without having to go on the floor. -
Is the BlackWing™ Adjustable Bench compatible with the spotter platform and Leg Roller Attachment?
- The BlackWing™ is compatible with the Leg Roller Attachment.
- The BlackWing™ is not compatible with the spotter platform.
- The BlackWing™ is compatible with the Leg Roller Attachment.
-
What is the best way to clean a CleanGrip bench pad?
A mild dish detergent and water are the best cleaning agents for poly-vinyl pads. Use a sponge or clean cloth and soapy water to wipe to remove dirt and sweat from the vinyl. The CleanGrip material is grippy enough to shred a paper towel, so use cloth instead.
-
How will the BlackWing™ bench be shipped?
The BlackWing™ should arrive to you in two boxes: one box for the selected color frame of the bench and another box for the selected size bench pads.
